Tammy Rottmund

Tammy is the daughter of Kaye and has a great history of working with dogs. As a youngster she showed German Shorthaired Pointers and English Pointers in the Conformation Show ring, not only the family’s show dogs but at age 12 also showed for several handlers if they could not get to the ring in time.

As Tammy grew in her love for German Shorthairs she bought a Shorthair for her own pleasure. “Promise”, her German Shorthair, during the dog’s early show career escaped the yard and was hit on the highway and both front legs broken. It was predicted that Promise may never walk again. With Tammy’s persistence Promise walked though it was predicted the chance of her ever being in the show ring again was slim. Again with Tammy’s persistence she was entered in a dog show and won a championship.

As the years went on Tammy took over Kaye’s Grooming Shop and operated Sharp Dogs by Tammy. As a 3rd generation dog groomer Tammy kept the family dog grooming business going for a bit more than 76 years years. Running a daycare was another highlight of her dog career which won the trust of dogs and their family.
